Welcome to the Official Website of contemporary British artist, Xanthus Andrews.

Based in the South East of England, Xanthus Andrews is currently studying for a degree in Fine Art at the University of Kent. Although relatively new to the art scene, he regularly exhibits work throughout Kent and shows work via the ever-growing worldwide web, with work on sites such as Saatchi Online, Facebook and Flickr.

Within my life, Art has become a way of self-expression; a language in which my ideas become visual facts in three-dimensional form without the use of words.

My work explores physical forms, from aspects of contemporary life and society to what I see around me. I work by constructing simplistic forms which are stripped of expression by focusing on a visual abstraction as the work slices through the space. My work plays on a dialogue which involves human interaction and spatial awareness. As an artist, I believe that everything has a purpose however little or insignificant it may seem, from the overall form to the aesthetic surface all of which links to my complex artistic language.
